Hi, I'm Paweł Białecki, a software developer and technology enthusiast based in Bogatynia, Poland, near the German and Czech borders.
I've been working professionally in software development since 2011, building and maintaining iOS applications that have reached more than 3.6 million downloads worldwide.
My professional background is primarily in Apple's ecosystem, but my interests have always extended beyond application development. Today, I'm expanding my expertise into systems administration, enterprise infrastructure, and device management across Apple and Microsoft environments.
My Background
My professional journey began in 2011, when I started independently developing mobile applications, initially for Android and later for iOS.
Through my business, Astro Photons Apps, I've spent over 15 years designing, developing, publishing, and maintaining software used by millions of people around the world.
Working independently meant taking responsibility for much more than writing code. I've managed the entire software development lifecycle, including architecture, debugging, production deployments, performance monitoring, third-party integrations, and long-term application maintenance.
Over the years, this experience has strengthened my ability to solve technical problems, learn unfamiliar technologies, and take ownership of complex projects.
While software development remains an important part of my professional background, I've become increasingly interested in the infrastructure and systems that support modern organizations.
From Software Development to Enterprise IT
My interest in enterprise IT initially grew from working extensively with Apple technologies.
After years of developing applications for Apple platforms, I began exploring how organizations deploy, configure, secure, and manage their devices at scale.
This led me to study Mobile Device Management (MDM), Automated Device Enrollment, identity management, device security, and enterprise deployment workflows.
I earned the Apple Certified IT Professional, Apple Certified Support Professional, and Jamf Certified Associate certifications to build a stronger foundation in these areas.
I'm also completing a Computer Science engineering degree at WSB Merito University in Wrocław.
My engineering thesis focuses on designing and implementing a reference Zero-Touch Deployment environment for Mac computers using Apple Business, automated enrollment, centralized device management, and identity integration.
The project gives me an opportunity to work with enterprise technologies in a practical lab environment, combining implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
Expanding into Microsoft Infrastructure
As my interest in enterprise IT has grown, I've also started exploring the Microsoft ecosystem.
I'm particularly interested in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, identity and access management, and infrastructure automation.
I'm developing a dedicated Windows Server home lab using Hyper-V to gain hands-on experience with these technologies.
My goal is to understand not only how individual services work, but also how they fit together to form reliable, secure, and maintainable IT infrastructure.
I see this as a natural extension of my technical background: moving from developing software products toward understanding and managing the systems, services, and infrastructure that organizations depend on.

Apple Enterprise Deployment
Designing and implementing a managed macOS deployment environment using Apple Business, Automated Device Enrollment, MDM, and Microsoft Entra ID.
Windows Server Infrastructure
Building a virtualized lab environment to explore Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, networking, and PowerShell automation.
Software Development
Continuing to develop and maintain my existing applications for Apple platforms, primarily using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
Computer Science
Completing my engineering degree, with graduation expected in 2027.

Why This Website Exists
I created bialecki.dev as a place to document my technical projects, share what I learn, and build a public record of my professional development.
The website originally focused on Apple enterprise technologies, but its scope has expanded alongside my interests.
Today, I use it to document practical work involving systems administration, infrastructure, enterprise device management, software development, and automation.
I believe that building real environments, understanding how things work, and documenting the problems encountered along the way are among the most effective ways to develop technical expertise.
Rather than presenting a collection of technologies I've read about, I want this website to demonstrate what I've actually built, configured, tested, and learned.
